Hi! I'm Dani. This is just a little information for those coming fresh to this journal who may be considering/have friended me!

* I don't usually friend back people who friend me if I don't know them. This isn't meant to be insulting, I just prefer a small group of friends. You're still free to friend me if you like, just don't be offended if I don't return it.

* Please don't comment in my personal journal regarding matters for communities that I moderate. It's a little rude. PM me instead!

* I am in a stage of my life where arguing on the internet isn't particularly important to me. If I make a post with an opinion, you're free to disagree (do try to be civil), but as a general rule, I will not participate in debates on the internet, so don't be offended if I don't engage you if you attempt to start such a discussion. It's really nothing personal. I'm just not interested.

* Be respectful of myself and others in my journal. It is perfectly fine to dislike whoever you please, but it is rude to pick fights with them in someone else's space, and I will respond appropriately.

Lastly, I'm kind of boring! So don't friend me expecting drama or lots of juicy stories or anything like that. It's just not my thing. I mostly write about my rats, or link weird things I see on the net, and the occasional deeper post about things on my mind. I'm not a very fun person, and that's okay.

I wish people would stop using 'I didn't know that was a rule!' as an excuse to get out of trouble. In what world is that a good excuse? Especially when the rules are right there and easy to find? But I seriously hear this so often.

'Did you know you were going 100 MPH in a 30 MPH zone, sir?'
'Oh well I didn't know speeding was against the law, officer!'
'Oh ok well on your way then.'

Said nobody ever.

People would be so much better off if they learned when to just... stop commenting.

Holy god, I went on such a cleaning blitz today. I washed ALL my bedding (and then of course remade my bed when it was done. Why are fitted sheets such a pain in the ass?), and also washed my poor old teddy bear which probably should be replaced soon.. I also cleaned out the bathroom closet which filled up like 3 trash bags. The people who lived here and moved out had filled it FULL of crap like hotel bars of soap and expired pet medication from 2006 and empty bottles of soap and junk. Ugh. Got it all cleaned out and put my stuff in it. Ran a vinegar rinse on the dishwasher then put the dishes from the sink in it. Threw some stuff away, did some rearranging, took out all the trash, etc etc etc.

I still want to vacuum the floor and stuff but I think I'll do that tomorrow. Boring and domestic as heck, I know, but it made me feel good to get some cleaning done~

This entire post is honestly a pretty good example of how terrible FAF and most of its members are.

Sure, the guy didn't act the best when people started attacking him in-thread, but his complaint was a legitimate one. The whole thing became nothing more than stupid posturing from a bunch of dweebs trying to outdo each other in macho-ness. Yes, you're SUCH an internet badass, we get it.

Thanks to Kerstin, I now have a way to reheat pizza that doesn't make it terrible and make me ill. Frying it up in a skillet. Why did I never think of this, I cook all day long!

THIS IS IMPORTANT OKAY

Man I NEVER really block people on FA unless they're really bad, but I blocked like 5 people from that Miupix pricing debacle on FA. After thinking on it, I just didn't want to accidentally socialize with the people who were running around saying art isn't a 'real job' and people should be charging crap because they said so.

I'm not sure why this particular incident rubbed me the wrong way so bad. I don't even know Miu and price wank is common. I think it was because this was particularly nasty, and then I looked at Miu's twitter and he was just so hurt by it. Poor guy.

That said, I have NO DOUBTS that his slots got taken in the end by people who were smart enough to not comment to say so so they didn't risk abuse by angry, entitled children. Hopefully the hundreds of dollars he raked in and the people who will be happy to have his art will make him feel better, nobody deserved that kind of vitriol.

Hey guys, I'm doing that thing again where I make up a character and then sell it over here! I had to be quick to put her up for sale because I knew I'd want to keep her if I didn't, hah.

Would anyone like to commission me for something for about $25 dollars (or more of course, if you want something bigger)? A coloured sketch or something, I dunno.

My gallery, if you've forgotten my stuff

The moment the roommates move out, it's like everyone else lost the common sense to lock the damn door. I don't want to have to worry about the door being unlocked all the time, I have more than enough on my mind. Do people really not get that most break-ins are crimes of convenience?

ETA: Literally every time I've gone out there, the door's unlocked. I'm disappointed. I thought they were smarter than this.
